The Elefant tank hunter ended up being likely the largest armoured automobile built during World War II. Formally designed as Jagdpanzer Tiger (P) Elefant, a conseriderable quantity of them was in fact built. Following the famous tank battle at Kursk, on Russian front, they were relocated to Italy in which they operated until 1944.
