Trumpeter 05336 - 1/350 HMS Abercrombie Monitor  [TP05336]

ABERCROMBIE was an upgraded form of elder relative ship ROBERTS. The initial main weapon turret wound up being extra from FURIOUS, fitted with two 15 inches firearms kind Mark I/N. Other improvements included bigger liveable space, more artillery reserve and increased motor space deck depth. ABERCROMBIE was indeed also designed with four twin 102mm 45 calibre Mk V double rapid-fire weapons, sixteen Uk 40mm 2-pounder "pom-pom" cannon and twenty US 20mm Oerlikon tools.
In 1943 ABERCROMBIE had been awarded Battle Honours for promotions in Mediterranean at SicilyandSalerno. Post war ABERCROMBIE was indeed moored within the River Medway for some time as an accommodation ship and wound up being sold for scrap in 1954.
