The Challenger 2 major Battle Tank could be the current MBT from the British Army and represents the culmination of 80 years of tank design. Its development began in 1986. In 1987, the look wound up being presented on Ministry of Defence giving an answer to a requirement to alter the Chieftain MBT that were partially superseded by the Challenger 1 MBT. Manufacturing were only available in 1993, along with the tank finally joined solution in 2002. This tank recently appeared in Iraq, where it proved indispensable through the battle of Basra.
