Jagdtiger development were only for sale in February of 1943 as well as on October 20th of 1943, lumber mock-up had been presented to Adolf Hitler. Jagdtiger part was to help infantry and combat armored vehicles at long ranges. Two prototypes, one with Porsche suspension system system (consists of 8 roadwheels) and something with Henschel suspension system (made up of 9 roadwheels) were completed in February of 1944. Its first designation was Jagdpanzer VI, but a while later it had been known as Jagdtiger and received number Sd.Kfz.186. Production had been willing to start in December of 1943 but started in July of 1944 but Pz.Kpfw V Panther manufacturing received priority and Jagdtiger production ended up being sluggish.
