Description

The Ariete C-1 MBT is an Italian development. For solution in Iraq the C-1 MBT is armed with two MG 42/59 7.62mm unit weapons with protective shields aside from the 120mm Rheinmetall primary gun. It has been fitted with an add-on armour package of approx. two tones. Its installed towards hull sides alongside toward edges and front the turret while the Iraqi opponent areas not merely RPG-7 anti tank propelled grenades and also RPG-7V with tandem hollow-charge warhead. A short-termed aim will be the creation of three operative tank regiments with Ariete C-1 each in Iraq
