TORNADO IDS “Black Panthers”
This strange livery, featuring a showy black colored colored panther within the Tornado's back, have been built to commemorate the 70th 12 months of task the ETS (Electronic Warfare Tactical Suppression) 155th band regarding the 50th Wing “Giorgio Graffer” of this Italian Air Force. The 155th Group, with electronic warfare duties, has a black colored panther as the insignia. The livery can also be characterized by its metallic color by the roman “gladius” on its end rudder; this recalls the badge, issued in 1931, that may be employed by initial airforce pilots who specialized in assault missions. Currently this device, situated in Piacenza, Italy, has Tornado ECRs which will use AGM-88 HARM missiles for suppression of enemy radars. Operational duties include both nationwide and global missions in the armed forces work out in the pipeline along with other NATO forces.
