This cargo helicopter with tandem rotors was in fact made for the U.S. Army during the Fifties. It may be considered to be the original genuine dependable helicopter of its category notwithstanding the limitations of its piston machines. The H-21 had been also bought by the French Navy which used it during the Algerian war for transport and attack missions.
