The A-4 owes its origins to a desire expressed by the usa Navy for an alternative solution of A-1 Skyraider. The engineering design genius Ed Heinemann created an excellent lightweight and simple airplane that was forced into solution on United states aircraft companies in 1956. The E (which 499 had been made) and F (that 147 were made) express the initial genuine improvement in airplanes, with a more powerful motor, two extra mooring towers for cargo (for an overall total of five) and enhanced avionics. They certainly were utilized extensively, adequate reason for positive results, during Americas war in Vietnam.
