The 100 years War had been a protracted conflict which, at different phases, included the Kingdom of England which means Kingdom of France. It started, for genetic reasons, in 1337 and had been battled on French territory. It marked a decisive turning point in military strategy and techniques. Through the century War the Heavy French cavalry had been the queen regarding the battlefield. However, since the first phases related to war, the French military have been defeated by the English Troops, well competed in utilizing longbows and infantry, within the battle of Crecy, Poitiers and, in 1415, Azincourt. But from 1429, as a consequence of the leadership of Joan of Arc during the siege of Orleans, the French troops found again ethical and commitment. The a century War finished in 1453 due to the nearly complete control concerning the nation by the Kingdom of France.
