This upgrade replaces the factory front steering link and servo horn on Tamiya CC02 MERCEDES-BENZ G500 kits to give a tougher, serviceable steering layout. The mix of brass/aluminium and stainless steel components reduces steering slop and withstands corrosion while keeping the main goal as servo protection and tie-rod tuning.
Tie-rod length is adjusted mechanically: turn the adjustable link that uses opposing threads to change overall length, then use the tie-rod positioning hole to lock the final setting. The servo horn includes a small spring feature to cushion impacts and reduce shock load on the servo.
Component selection favours hobby durability with stainless steel on threaded parts for corrosion resistance and brass/aluminium for a stiff mounting face compatible with CC02 steering geometry.
The set is intended for direct replacement of the front steering link and servo horn, keeping original mounting points while adding adjustability and stronger fasteners for setup and light-impact resilience.
