The Serpent 748, Michael Salven also designed a lighter gearbox, to quickly attain lower inertia. Xli, for eXtra Minimal Interia.

The adaptor, footwear and bell are low in size and so have reduced mass, which gives better acceleration general.

The well proven 2-speed gears remain the same as before.

Current 748 Natrix and 747 racers can very quickly update to the new Xli SL6 gearbox.
