In regards to the Honda VF750F
First introduced in 1983 the Interceptor VF750F was a model which had no direct competitor, though it had been derived from the VF750S Sabre (introduced a year earlier in the day) it radically departed through the tradition of simply placing different fairings and handlebars on sport models. It's called the Interceptor V45, as in 45 cubic ins. Honda drove the brand new standard of separating sport and standard models. Cycle World Magazine called it motorcycle of the season and had a project Interceptor VF750F they chromed and place on the cover. Honda also produced the VF700F to satisfy the 1980s bike tariff. This bicycle was changed by the Honda VFR750 in 1986.
