From 1997 on, the Yamaha WCM group received the sponsorship of Austrian sports beverage manufacturer Red Bull for the World path Race GP 500 class. To compete inside '99 period, the bike has thoroughly tuned and modified with consideration given to fat circulation, aerodynamics and engine performance. Cyclists Regis Laconi and Garry McCoy performed well within Valencia competition and earning 1st and third places, correspondingly. During the recent Phillip Island competition, Laconi took third destination, demonstrating the potency of the Red Bull Yamaha WCM team.
