Description
Abbreviated the "StuG" III, the Sturmgeschutz, centered on a Panzer III framework, adopted a short barreled 7.5cm L/24 gun in place of the Panzer III's revolving turret. After confrontations with Soviet armor, the problem abruptly changed. To cope with this Russian tank hazard, the Germans were forced to upgrade their current tools systems. The G-type StugG III built from late 1942 onwards, utilized an even more powerful, long barrel 7.5cm L/48 gun. The slim steel dishes, called Schurzen (skirts) had been attached on edges associated with hull beginning in the springtime of 1943. The Masterwork Collection model of the German Sturmgeschutz III Ausf. G Early Version is available in a dark yellowish base with a red-brown camouflage pattern, and features markings of the 237th Sturmgeschutz (assault gun) Brigade. Commander's and Loader's hatches could be assembled inside opened or closed place and Schurzen could be attached/detached.
During WWII the German Army (Wehrmacht) employed many forms of weaponry on tank framework. Of those types, the one most mass-produced was that attached to a Panzer III framework. Abbreviated the "StuG" III, the Sturmgeschutz adopted a quick barreled 7.5cm L/24 gun in the place of the Panzer III's revolving turret. The "StuG" III was initially designed for infantry support. However, after confrontations with Soviet armor, the specific situation abruptly changed. To cope with this Russian tank danger, the Germans had been forced to upgrade their existing weapons systems. The G-type StuG III built from late 1942 onwards, utilized a more effective, long barrel 7.5cm L/48 weapon. The thin metal plates, called Schurzen (skirts) were connected towards the edges of hull starting in the springtime of 1943.
