Featuring a powerful 990cc in-line 4-cylinder motor, the Yamaha YZR-M1 was willing to accept the dominant Honda RC211V in the 2004 MotoGP. With Rossi at the helm, the YZR-M1 didn't disappoint, helping Yamaha get their first rider's championship since Wayne Rainey won in 1992, and giving famous driver Valentino Rossi his 4th consecutive rider's name. Following release of Rossi and Abe's metallic blue bicycle, Tamiya now presents the vibrant red and silver YZR-M1 to your replica-quality Masterwork Collection. The "Spain's No.1" Yamaha was ridden by top Spanish driver Carlos Checa, and features extremely detailed internal mechanics including motor, exhaust, ram atmosphere field and suspension system system. Also, the wheels are manufactured from die-cast steel, giving this finished display model a better sense of realism.
