The Tyrrell P34 along with its extraordinary six-wheeled setup debuted during the 1976 Formula One period. Very first nationwide City Bank became the team's primary sponsor the next year and so the past all-blue livery had been replaced by a blue and white livery properly. Additionally featured a far more aerodynamic cowling design. Driven by P. Depailler and R. Peterson, the vehicles were swept up in a tire battle between Goodyear and Michelin which hampered growth of the special front tires. In a bid to rediscover their kind, the earlier 12 months's cowling was reinstalled the Monaco GP.
