The 2005 Yamaha YZR-M1 is famous because of hotshot driver, Valentino Rossi's success at 2005 MotoGP World Championships. After major design modifications, the winning YZR-M1 featured a better impact absorbing ability, refined braking system and torque control systems, an upgraded frame and a 4 swing in-line 4 cylinder 990cc motor. Originally, the bike had a five valve head, but was changed to a four valve per cylinder mind configuration to improve top rate and gas effectiveness. The famous yellowish and black colored strobe pattern, that will be also featured on Kenny Roberts YZR500, ended up being seen regarding YZR-M1 during the 2005 MotoGP period.
