The Honda Mugen Civic Si Gr.A Racer had been in line with the popular Civic hatchback and used a 1,600cc DOHC motor. Mugen tuned this car within the Gr. A race regulations as well as the device showcased many reinforcing parts also an improved motor which produced 170hp. The car made its debut inside 3rd round for the 1985 All Japan Touring Car Championships, and although it retired considering technical trouble, it achieved an extraordinary win at its second battle by defeating the larger-engined BMW 635CSi.
