Commemorating Ferrari's 40th anniversary, the F40 made its debut in July of 1987. The mechanics of the F40 follow the standard Ferrari practice of utilizing materials and technology acquired from F1 racing. The F40's mid-ship mounted 2936cc V8 double turbo charged engine produces 478hp. The F40 features all the high-performance of an F1 racing automobile extracted from the circuit and taken to public roads.
