Concerning the Jaguar XJ220
36 months after their first concept vehicle was unveiled on public at 1988 Birmingham, England Motor show, Jaguar's sensational XJ220 went into production. Only 350 among these mid-engined, two door, two-seat coupes is supposed to be built, with initial people becoming available during very early 1992.
The XJ220 is running on a 3.5 liter, DOHC, twin turbocharged V-6 cylinder engine which was in fact developed the Jaguar XJR-11 activities racing automobile. Although the motor had been extensively modified for street use, it's still effective at delivering 542 horsepower at 7000 RPM, enabling the vehicle to meet or exceed 342km/h as its tops speed
The dramatic human body styling of the Jaguar is aerodynamically functional and as presenting traditional Jaguar beauty. Race developed and proven for wheel separate suspension system with unequal wishbones, inboard concentric coil springs and Bilstein damper units ensure exact and predictable road hugging and handling through the car's rate range. The undersurface is completely cowled to produce a full flat base, with the rear end supplied with a diffuser for attaining maximum ground effect.
