This is the TA24178 a 1/24 scale Kure Nismo GT-R plastic model kit from the Sports Car Series by Tamiya. The Japanese GT Car Championships were inaugurated in 1993, and so are becoming more popular with motorsports buffs throughout Japan. The NISMO GT-R, developed from Nissan's Skyline, has been among the principal contenders in the JGTC since its inauguration. The four wheel double wishbone suspension system has nearly exactly the same construction as Nissan's highly competitive Gr.C machines raced throughout the 1980's.
