Towards Porsche 962C Le Mans 24Hr 1990 From Repsol Brun Motorsport
To adhere to brand new Group C laws in 1982, Porsche utilized their vast experience to build up the practically unbeatable 956. Porsche modified the automobile to engage inside United states IMSA show, resulting in the 962, which was once again modified to meet this new 1985 Group C laws create the 962C. Featuring a strong liquid-cooled 3-liter twin turbo flat-6 motor and 17 inches front and 19 inches back tires, the 962C turned out to be just as effective while the 956. Although in 1989, the Porsche works groups withdraw their 962C from endurance racing, it continued racing with privateer teams until 1994. During the 1990 Le Mans 24 Hour, the Repsol Brun Motorsport Team's 962C continued to win 2nd destination.
