The Mercedes-Benz 300SL joins the 1/24 sports vehicle Series as it is considered an all-time classic in the automotive globe. The real vehicle started life as a prototype for the German engine giant’s works rushing group, getting involved in international events, plus in 1954 a production version debuted during the International engine Show in nyc. Despite nominal road automobile status the 300SL was still an extremely racy car and proved popular, especially in the United States. It possessed a 3-liter engine (thus the 300 in its title), and a very lightweight human body (SL means Sport Leicht, lit. “light sports”) with striking gull wing doorways. 1,400 vehicles were generated by the finish of its production run in Might 1957. The Tamiya model kit captures the actual life topic down seriously to the working Gull-Wing doors and complex tubular room frame.
