During World War II, British and Commonwealth armies utilized a massive quantity of small sized, fully tracked weapons companies, chief among which was the Universal Carrier Mk.II. The compact, open top automobile served in many different roles in the North African, Italian and West European fronts. Numerous variations had been constructed, including models installed with mortars and flamethrowers but many devices typically carried a Bren light device weapon. Over 65,000 models had been stated in Britain, Canada alongside Commonwealth countries, rendering it probably one of the most many armored automobiles built during WWII.
