During the early stages of WWII, the Sd.Kfz. 251/1 half-track generated by Hanomag was greatly active in the German success regarding the Blitzkreig design warfare. Seen carrying several types of loads like ordnance and equipment, the main one often seen on many frontlines ended up being the infantry provider which may accommodate 12 passengers such as the motorist and commander. The half-track became known because the reliable feet for workers owned by armored divisions. Entered in 1943 was the Ausf.D variation which had a simple construction to enhance efficiency. About 10,000 Ausf.D had been produced and had been used up until the end of the war.
