The world famous US aerial acrobatic team, the Thunderbirds, first got their start in might of 1953. During WWII, numerous young and inexperienced pilots had been sent into aerial combat traveling hefty and tough to maneuver aircraft. General public demonstrations of aerial maneuverability and aircraft safety provided more youthful pilots essential training and ensured that they were battle worthy before experiencing real combat. The F-84G Thunderjet gloriously led these demonstrations, securing it self a situation in the illustrious history of the Thunderbirds group. Tamiya recreated a 1/48 scale version of this aircraft a year ago. For 2001, an all new 1/72 Chrome-metallic form of the Thunderbirds aircraft is being released, displaying decals the 1953 or 1954 periods. This detailed 1/72 scale model has been made with ease-of-assembly as a top concern and is sold with a handy display stand.
