Towards P-47D Thunderbolt

Probably one of the most famous planes of WWII, the P-47D Thunderbolt ended up being an outstanding solitary chair fighter airplane excelling in high-altitude bomber escort and low-altitude ground attack. The P-47D showcased a turbo-supercharged motor and was active on both the European and Pacific fronts. To solve the problem of insufficient presence of early in the day models, later Thunderbolt models were redesigned with a clear bubble canopy, resulting in the birth regarding the "Bubbletop".
