Description

During WWII, the IJN's Combined Fleet had relocated its headquarters to Truk. Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, whom commanded the Pearl Harbor Attack, attained Truk on April 3, 1943 and in the offing a call to your forward bases at Balalae, Buin, as well as the Shortland Islands to improve the morale for the frontline units. But the Us Americans had deciphered Japanese communications on April 13th which pointed out the details of the visit plus the U.S. Army Air Force arranged an interception objective.
