This WWII fighter had been a daring design with double booms and a piston engine in each, plus a central nacelle which housed the cockpit and armament (device guns and cannon inside nose). Introduced in June 1941, the aircraft continued to be utilized extensively inside Pacific through WWII. The F variant was made of April 1942 onward, and showcased pylons for 150-gallon drop tanks to make it with the capacity of longer bombing missions. Later P-38Gs had better machines and may carry larger 300-gallon drop tanks. The P-38 ended up being used for interception, dive bombing, level bombing, ground attack, night fighting, photo reconnaissance, radar and artistic pathfinding for bombers and evacuation missions, and extensively as a long-range escort fighter when built with drop tanks under its wings.
