The Musashi ended up being the second ship into the Yamato-class which were the biggest battleships ever built. Completed in 1942, the Musashi participated in several promotions before finally fulfilling her fate at the hands of U.S. Navy aircraft in the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Tamiya's precision-made installation kit model recreates this giant battleship in exquisite information, including her defensive anti-aircraft suite of several solitary 25mm cannons on the main deck. This different anti-aircraft armament creates an appealing contrast using the Yamato. Tamiya rereleased Musashi in 1981 and this great model kit can be obtained once again with new mast parts.
