The cornerstone for a Champion
In 1963, famous Italian vehicle maker Alfa Romeo circulated the Giulia Sprint GT, an elegant coupe with a 1600cc DOHC 4-cylinder engine. This automobile was further refined for motorsport usage, and also the result ended up being the Giulia Sprint GTA. The GTA showcased such performance alterations as lightweight aluminum human anatomy panels and a twin plug ignition system which increased power to 116hp. Alfa Romeo's motorsport division, Autodelta, went even more and produced a complete race-spec version of the GTA, which continued to win the European Touring vehicle Championship from 1966-1969.
