The Italian Fiat business demonstrated a brand new type of armored reconnaissance and authorities vehicle in 1938. In 1940, the model had been put in production and was known as the AB40. The initial armament of three 8mm machine firearms ended up being changed to one 20mm cannon and something 8mm machine gun with the use of a more substantial turret for the production of AB41. After Italy?s surrender to the Allies in September 1943, German forces confiscated a number of AB41s and modified these with more powerful machines, new exhaust silencers, alongside improvements. The cars with such improvements were classified as AB43s, plus they were utilized primarily within the Italian theater of operations by the German forces.
